There is a setting on the Calculation Options tab in Grades Settings that releases the final grade automatically if you select it.
However, it functions in a very specific way:
- if no grades are entered for students and select this, final grades will be released automatically when grades are entered for students
- if some grades are entered for students and you select this, final grades will be released automatically the next time grades are entered for students
- if all grades are entered for students, final grades won't release so a manual release is necessary
The best time to select this setting is prior to any grades being entered for students.
