Exempt a Student from a Grade Item

Instructors can exempt students from a grade item.

 

To exempt a student from a grade item,

  1. In Grades, click Manage Grades.
    click Manage Grades

  2. Click the drop down arrow beside the grade item.
  3. Select Enter Grades.

  4. On the Enter Grades page, click the checkbox beside the student’s name.
  5. Click Exempt.
    Click Exempt, Select Student

  6. The student will show as exempt from the grade item.
  7. Click Save or Save and Close to save your changes.

  8. Click Yes to confirm changes.

To remove an exemption,

  1. In Grades, click Manage Grades.
    Grades, Click Manage Grades
     
  2. Select the drop down arrow beside the grade item.
  3. Select Enter Grades.
    Grade item dropdown, click enter grades.

  4. On the Enter Grades page, click the checkbox beside the student’s name.
  5. Click Unexempt.
    click unexempt, select student.

  6. The student’s exemption will be removed.
  7. Click Save or Save and Close to save your changes.
    Click Save and Close

  8. Click Yes to confirm changes.
    Click Yes to confirm.
