There are a number of ways to add a YouTube Video to content in your course.


 


 

Inserting a YouTube Video Via the Video or Audio Option

  1. In your course, click Content.
  2. Click the module you want to add the video to.
  3. Click Upload/Create.
  4. Click Video or Audio.
    click on Content, the module name, Upload/Create, and Video or Audio
  5. Click the Web Video or Audio tab.
  6. Insert the URL or Embed Code of the video.
    click Web Video or Audio tab and then paste your URL or embed code
  7. The window will update to include the Title and a preview of the video. Modify the title if necessary and make sure the video plays back.
  8. Click Save.

  9. The video topic is added to the Content module.

Adding a YouTube Video Using Insert Stuff

  1. In your course, click Content.
  2. Click the module you want to add the video to.
  3. Click Upload/Create.
  4. Click Create a File.
    click Content, the name of the module, Upload/Create, and Create a File
  5. Enter a title for the HTML topic.
  6. Click Insert Stuff.

  7. Click YouTube.
    click YouTube
  8. Enter a search term and click Search.
  9. Click on the video you want to insert.
  10. Click Next.

  11. Review the preview of the video and click Insert.

  12. The video is inserted in the HTML topic. Click Save and Close.

  13. The HTML file topic is added to the Content module.

Adding a Link to a YouTube Video

  1. In your course, click Content.
  2. Click the module you want to add the video to.
  3. Click Upload/Create.
  4. Click Create a Link.
    click Content, the name of the module, Upload/Create, and Create a Link
  5. Enter a title for the link topic.
  6. Enter the URL for the YouTube video.
  7. Select the checkbox beside "Open as External Resource" to open the link in a new window or tab when clicked.
  8. Click Create.

  9. The link topic is added to the Content module.
