There are a number of ways to add a YouTube Video to content in your course.
Inserting a YouTube Video Via the Video or Audio Option
- In your course, click Content.
- Click the module you want to add the video to.
- Click Upload/Create.
- Click Video or Audio.
- Click the Web Video or Audio tab.
- Insert the URL or Embed Code of the video.
- The window will update to include the Title and a preview of the video. Modify the title if necessary and make sure the video plays back.
- Click Save.
- The video topic is added to the Content module.
Adding a YouTube Video Using Insert Stuff
- In your course, click Content.
- Click the module you want to add the video to.
- Click Upload/Create.
- Click Create a File.
- Enter a title for the HTML topic.
- Click Insert Stuff.
- Click YouTube.
- Enter a search term and click Search.
- Click on the video you want to insert.
- Click Next.
- Review the preview of the video and click Insert.
- The video is inserted in the HTML topic. Click Save and Close.
- The HTML file topic is added to the Content module.
Adding a Link to a YouTube Video
- In your course, click Content.
- Click the module you want to add the video to.
- Click Upload/Create.
- Click Create a Link.
- Enter a title for the link topic.
- Enter the URL for the YouTube video.
- Select the checkbox beside "Open as External Resource" to open the link in a new window or tab when clicked.
- Click Create.
- The link topic is added to the Content module.
