Create # of Groups
If you want to make a specific number of groups, there are several Enrollment Type options.
- # of Groups – No Auto Enrollments
- # of Groups
- # of Groups – Self Enrollment
- # of Groups, Capacity of # - Self Enrollment
If you want to create groups where you assign students, select # of Groups – No Auto Enrollments:
If you want to create groups with students automatically assigned (if students are in your Classlist), select # of Groups.
If you want new students (students adding the class) to be automatically added to groups, select “Auto-enroll new users”. If you want the automatic enrollment to be random, make sure to select “Randomize users in groups”.
If you want to create groups where students can sign up on their own, select # of Groups – Self Enrollment.
If you want to require students to enroll by a certain date, select “Set Self Enrollment Expiry Date” and select the date.
If you want students who haven’t self-enrolled in groups to be auto enrolled in groups after that date, select “Allocate unenrolled users after Self Enrollment Expiry Date”.
If you want to create groups limited to a certain size where students can sign up on their own, select # of Groups, Capacity of # - Self Enrollment.
If you want to require students to enroll by a certain date, select “Set Self Enrollment Expiry Date” and select the date.
If you want students who haven’t self-enrolled in groups to be auto enrolled in groups after that date, select “Allocate unenrolled users after Self Enrollment Expiry Date”.
