Sometimes you may try to edit a question in a quiz or the Question Library and when it prompts you to select all the places the question needs updated, you will not see a Save button.

If this occurs, there are a few things you can do to troubleshoot.


First, try another browser. Sometimes browsers can cause issues where they haven't before. 


If that doesn't resolve the issue, make sure your browser is not "zoomed in":

  • Make sure your browser window is the active window. Click somewhere in the browser window to make it active if not.
  • On your keyboard, press and hold CTRL or Control.
  • While holding down the CTRL/Control, press the 0 number key. This should reset your Zoom setting to 100%.


If both of those tips don't work, you can alter a setting in D2L to see if that makes your Save button reappear.


(This is a per-course setting, so if you are having the issue in multiple courses, you will need to alter the setting selection in each course.)


  • Go to Assessments > Quizzes and click on "Question Library".
  • In Question Library, click "Settings":

  • In the Display Options box, de-select  "View actions in pop-up" and click "Save":

You may need to log out and back in to see results of the changes made.
