The Quiz Creation Experience is undergoing a re-design to increase efficiency for instructors using the Quiz tool by simplifying common tasks for first-time or infrequent users, while giving easy access to the advanced features for experienced users.  The interface will be brought into alignment with the current Assignment Creation Experience for consistency.

For an overview on the upcoming changes to the experience please review the following D2L Brightspace article:

On July 5, 2022, the new Quiz Creation Experience will be set to Opt-in to allow instructors the ability to try the experience and provide constructive feedback to D2L as they work to update the experience.  When you attempt to create or edit a Quiz you'll be prompted with the option to leave the new quiz creation experience on or the option to turn it off.

Instructors have the ability to opt-in or opt-out at any time as needed, so if you are curious and just want to see the new experience you can do that but still have the ability to revert back to the existing legacy experience and vice versa.

When will the new experience be the default?

At this time there is no set date for when the new experience will be the default and the sunsetting of the legacy experience.  The IMDC will provide an update when a date is determined.
